How Does VOLUMA® XC Work?
As we grow older, unfortunately our skin loses its youthful plumpness, especially in the middle of the face. That thin and sunken look is the result of diminishing levels of hyaluronic acid (HA) in the body. HA exists naturally in the body and gives your skin its firm youthfulness. VOLUMA® XC treatments can provide your skin with enough HA and volume to turn back time on the aging process.*
What to Expect During Treatments
VOLUMA® XC can be injected into your cheeks to restore their natural suppleness. We will use a fine needle to target the area that needs the boost. The procedure only lasts a few minutes, and immediately after we’re done, you’ll notice that your skin has been restored to its plump, firm state.* There’s no downtime, so you’ll be able to carry on with your normal activities immediately.
Recovery and Results
After your injections are complete, you may experience some swelling, redness, bruising, and discomfort in the treatment area(s). These side effects are typically mild and should resolve in a few days. Patients should avoid applying makeup, extensive sun exposure, and pressure on the treatment site for 24 hours after their procedure.
Results are immediate and have been shown to last one year or longer. Not only will you notice more volume, but the wrinkles in your skin will also be smoothed out. Repeated treatments may be recommended to maintain your results.
